Instructions for the Double Ended check valve removal tool:
-Remove the pump and air stem from the pump tube.
-Insert the tool into the pump tube ( Always use the end of the tool with the wider teeth first ) push down and turn it until you feel it drop into the slot of the check valve. If it does not fit simply take it out and try the other end.
-Slide the spacer over the end of the tool that is sticking up, ( the spacer gives the wing nut a flat surface to tighten against ) then insert the proper size locking rod down through the tool and thread it into the check valve.
-Thread the wing nut onto the locking rod and tighten it down as tight as you can by hand.
-Put a 5/8 wrench on the tool (or a crescent wrench) and turn it counter clockwise to remove the valve.
The tool is steel so wipe it down with a little oil every now and then to keep it from rusting.
Remember counter clockwise to remove the valve.
Do not exceed 35 ft. lbs. of torque.
