This is a vice to hold your lantern while working on it.
The bottom portion is clamped in your work bench vise. You can then put your lantern in the round portion, tighten it down and work on it. Made of aluminum.
The inner ring is for holding Coleman 200 sized founts, middle for 220/228 size and the outer ring fits Coleman 275 and Coleman made Sears double mantle lanterns. Will not work with 242 size founts.
Someone has added a steel band around the perimeter of the unit and bolted it to each piece of it secure. The band was not original to the vice. Seems to work well with no slipping.
